There is no Country Code set up and the system cannot populate your region when adding phone numbers.
Go to Settings > Business Info
Ensure that on the right under Company Address that you at least choose United States as your Country and click Update Address.
This will allow the phone number fields to populate the country code when typing in phone numbers.
Be sure to REFRESH the webpage.
✅ Now you should be good to go. Try adding the phone number again.
